a very fitting farewell

Dear Michael, We spoke to you earlier today, after the funeral of Valerie Newbury, which you conducted. We would like to record our congratulations to you for the sensitive way in which you conducted the service.  We were very impressed by the wealth of  information about Valerie that was shared with us and which helped to ‘bring her to life,’ as it were, for everyone there, whether family, close friends or  acquaintances – and even those, who like myself, had not known Valerie.  It was a very personal service, conducted in a very dignified fashion, and, like myself, I am sure that everyone there was touched and moved by your words – and those of Valerie’s grand-sons – and felt that Valerie had received a very fitting farewell.
